Dead of Winter by Brian Moreland

Dead of Winter by Brian Moreland, was quite a surprise. I went into the book thinking it would be a creature of some sort (based solely on the book cover), but what did I get instead? I got demons, cannibals, diseases, Wendigos and werewolves. While i like the way the book was written, jumping from character to character with each chapter, the book was kind of lengthy and got dragged down at times, causing me to skim through the book (thus the lost star, 4 out of 5). I enjoyed the setting(s) and I will definitely read more by this author as this was the first I had heard of him or obviously read any of his materials. I received this book from the publisher in exchange for this review.
