Tormentor by William Meikle

Tormentor by William Meikle, was received from the publisher in exchange for this review. Let me say right up front, I am a HUGE William Meikle fan. I started reading his works in the last few years and there are many older works I have not read. To me, reading a Meikle book/novella is a treat. That being said, Tormentor was a quick read about a haunted house (kind of). The novella had very few characters, which is a good thing so the characterization was spot on, not too verbose and not too lagging. I do not go into plotlines in my reviews, you will have to read that in other reviews or the book synopsis itself. The ending left a little “to be desired,” in my opinion, but to be honest I do not know and will not venture, on how it could have been improved. If you like this author or haunted houses or even want to learn a little about Scottish lore or life on a Scottish island, certainly get this novella or give it as a gift.
