Anything for a Vote by Joseph Cummins

Anything for a Vote by Joseph Cummins, was received direct from the publisher in exchange for this review. The book started out well enough, I tend to ignore minor editing errors and the elections before I was born I obviously have to rely on the author doing a good job researching and being unbiased. That being said, this allegedly well researched at times made me wonder what the author was thinking with items like “newspaper bias ended in the mid 20th century.” What? Really? Open up the Washington Times today. As I got into the elections I was alive for and remember, I saw the author did not research very well and/or his bias overrode journalistic integrity with statements like giving Bill Clinton credit for balancing the budget and for revamping welfare and stating John Kerry was a war hero. Those are just examples that are well documented to be false or not entirely accurate. I then had to ponder how much of what I read was factual or was this a fiction book masquerading as non-fiction? As such, I gave the book a low Three score, almost a Two, which I usually reserve for political hack jobs, which this almost was. Let the hating begin as happens each time I comment on the progressive’s take on things.
