Inkling by John D. Waterman was received direct from the publisher in exchange for this review. inkling is one of the very few science fiction (sci-fi) books that I have read in many years, which has nothing to do with a review, I know. Anyway Inkling, to me, read more like a young adult book, which it very well may be. The storyline, which I will not re-hash, is basic with some science thrown in, and moves along with, like another reviewer said, little in the way of character development or letting me know what happened in the past to cause the current situations, which is not a game changer for me, as long as I don't get bored and skim. I DID NOT skim much in this novel and the skimming I did was my own fault. If you like sci-fi that is written like a YA novel, or know someone who does, try this novel out.
