Seize the Night: New Tales of Vampiric Terror, edited by Christopher Golden, was received direct from the publisher in exchange for an unbiased review. Seize The Night is about old school vampires who are out to survive by killing people and drinking their blood. While some of the stories are not the traditional vampire, none are the Team Edward vs Team Jacob type that I wont even call a vampire. The 21 stories take up 544 pages, is well worth the read. If you or anyone you give gifts to like real vampire stories, buy this book! This book even starts out with a rare story by Scott Smith. While I generally avoid vampire stories due to their less than stellar personification of them in modern culture, I am extremely glad I did not skip this one.
