The Sword and Scabbard by Allen Woods
The Sword and Scabbard by Allen Woods was received direct from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Historical fiction is a way for authors to tell a historical account but be able to interweave another story into the account. Mr Woods does that very well with his telling of the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party as told through the eyes of a proprietor of a pub. As imagined a lot of these are said inside the walls of the pub and quite the assortment of people come and go, leading to a tale that never gets boring and leaves the reader wanting more. I will not, as always, delve into telling the plot of the novel, if a person is interested in learning more about these historic events, please grab this novel for yourself and for someone you may be looking at buying a gift for. You will not be disappointed.
