The Incurables by Jon Bassof

The Incurables by Jon Bassof was received direct from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Jon Bassof weaves a tale of a doctor who works in a mental hospital who lobotomizes people, yes the old "book about lobotomy caper." What, you havent heard that? Excellent that Bassof gives us something new to read about. Combined with the whore named Scent and the messiah named Durango and we have a horrror book about the search for lost money among other things, taking place in a small town. A fast paced, never boring, dark horror novel that does not try to be a "smart guy" horror novel, it just goes for the throat and never lets up, as every Bassof novel has. If you like horror you dont have to think about (i.e "what just happened, what did I miss, I must re-read this chapter because this is wierd or I missed something)", or know someone who does, this is a novel to choose.
