Florida Firefight by Randy Wayne Wright and/or Carl Ramm was received direct from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. As I started reading this book and taking notes for my review, I was thinking “Finally the possibility of a serial book series like the old days where people who need taken out get taken out with extreme prejudice.” I quickly realized the book was not a new series though I had never heard of them “back in the day.” I read these serials as a kid and each series had a distinct hero with this series, which now I assume is being re-released, starting out with the proverbial good cop done in by the system. I will not go into the plot line but if you liked the Executioner series, this series is similar. Now I am wondering how this series went unnoticed by me back in the mid 80’s when it was first published. When I thought it was new, I quickly realized that was not true when a computer system was described in the book, the system sounded like the system seen in the movie Weird Science. If you liked the serials referred to, or know someone who does, re-live the old school butt kicking with this series.
