Monsters Don't Cry by Shane Mackenzie
Monsters Don't Cry by Shane Mackenzie was received direct from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. I have been reading Mackenzie from the start and it has been a love/hate relationship. I read his works because he is over the top and not so politically correct. It should also be noted, this book is NOT about food or foodstuffs. Mackenzie, maybe I should call him Shane by this point, actually gets better with each book he writes, and this novel is no different. Actually I think this is my favorite Mackenzie novel, to date anyway. Natasha, who is the “monster” yet has a lot of heartfelt emotions, thus the title. In full on kill mode, Shane’s description of her kills both crack me up and wish these scenes were in a movie. I picture the late/great Pat Ast playing Natasha. If you or anyone you buy book for likes this author or old school stories about deformed family members kept locked in a room until they reach the breaking point and wreak havoc on the populace, this is a definite MUST BUY for you.
