Submerged by Thomas F. Monteleone was received direct from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Submerged starts out strong and interesting for a topic I never showed any interest for. That topic being both submarines and scuba diving. The author makes seamless transitions between past and present making me want to keep reading. However at the around 50% mark, per my Kindle, I lost the page turning interest and skimmed at times. This was more when we reached the modern era and the Lovecraftian aspect, which I did not really care for. I seem to be one of the few who doesn’t really want a sequel. If you like books by this author, or about submarines or just being underwater for long amounts of time, this may be the book for you.
