He Who Walks in Shadow by Brett J. Talley was received direct from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. A novel that proclaims to be "Lovecraftian" in this day and age could easily be a wanna be poser, this one is NOT. Brett J. Talley writes like he is in sync with Lovecraft. While it is a sequel it is stand alone there is no real need to read the other book first. If you likeLlovecraft or know someone who does, this is top of the one Lovecraftian material to read. Honestly, generally when the first several words of the description are unpronounceable (Incendium Maleficarum? WHAT?!?!), I generally wont read it, I decided to look through this one because I was asked to and quickly read the entire book and searched for more by this author. 4 Stars.
