The dog and its Day by J. C. Peters was received direct from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This book explores modern day politics in a fictional manner, though you know exactly who is being referred to. Assassinations of political figures hasn't been attempted in a long time in this country and this book starts out with a actual one that happened. The book then builds around it and the plans made to assassinate a modern era person running for president, circa 2016. The book author seems to have researched the topic and goes into great detail with plans, almost too many details. A hint on who is being targeted, his motto is: "Lets make America amazing again!" The ending was terrible, if not for that, this book would have been a five star book. I almost gave it three stars due to the ending. 4 stars
