Tales From the Lake, Volume 4 edited by Ben Eads was received direct from the publisher. A person can never go wrong with Tales From the Lake anthologies, based on quality and price. This collection of short stories/novellas is no different. My star rating is the average of all the stories. One thing that is certain with horror publishers nowadays, is that there are many unpublished, maybe self published, authors out there who write better stories than the “name brand” authors in anthologies, this anthology has some names I had never heard of who and can hopefully keep the genre going. A name brand author does not particularly sell an anthology anymore. This anthology, like most from this publisher is one that if you or someone you buy books for likes short, somewhat horrific stories, you cant go wrong with Tales From the Lake. 3.5 Stars
