Beyond Night by Eric S. Brown and Steven L. Shrewsbury starts out strong, with a yarn about the Roman Legion, a group I have not read about fictionally or not, in a long time. The book moves along, rarely bogging down in dialogue that seems wasted. Beyond Night is a classic good vs evil story where at times you wonder which side is good and which is evil. As always, I will not go into the plotline except to say if you, or someone you buy gifts for, likes Druids, Bigfoot like creatures, Romans and lots of bloodshed and gore, grab this book up right now.
