Welcome to the Show: 17 Horror Stories - One Legendary Venue, edited by Doug Murano, was received direct from the publisher. Anthologies are mostly my favorite anymore. I am not sure if my attention span gets shorter the older I get or if I have read so much over the years that finding something new is just too difficult. Either way, with the line up of authors in this book, as wells as the publishers track record, I was excited to dive into it. The Shantyman club in San Francisco has experienced a lot of ups and downs, be it good or bad. If you, or someone you buy gifts for likes stories with a central theme, written by different authors and are “dark fiction” as opposed to horror, you should give this one a try. As I read each story, I assigned my own subjective score of 1 through 5, and then averaged those scores. The total came to be 3.85 or.... 4 stars
