Saving Sandoval by Craig W. Drummond was received direct from the publisher. I had never heard of the author, as such, this was the first book of his I have read. I did NOT say it was the last. I went into this book with trepidation, being a retired military criminal investigator, both in combat and garrison, and this book being based on “the true story of an Army sniper charged with murder on the battlefield.” Would it stick to facts mostly or not? I must say, I was quite impressed with the accuracy of how the military criminal justice system works and how this author breaks everything down so everyone understands. if you or someone you buy gifts for is interested in military justice, in Army snipers, in US military life in the Middle East wars, give this book a read.
