The Middle Sister, a Jack Salvo novel by Jesse Miles

The Middle Sister, a Jack Salvo novel by Jesse Miles was received direct from the authors publicist. I had never heard of the author or obviously read any of his books prior to this one. I had read several books and watched many movies and television shows about books about the Los Angeles underbelly. This book kind of made me think of books I read growing up with the 1940’s feel of a hard boiled private detective who will do what it takes to solve the case. The story takes place in modern times, so as to not confuse anyone. The book is well written, in that I didn’t get bored with unnecessary dialogue that tends to slow books down nowadays. As always, I won’t go into details, but I do think this book series will continue. If you like Books about Los Angeles and are familiar with or want to learn more about specific areas of the city, or buy gifts for someone who does, give this book a read.
