Off the Grid by John Hunt

Off the Grid by John Hunt was received direct from the publisher and I chose to review it. John Hunt and his works were familiar to me but I could not say why for certain. The book starts out with a mass shooting by a Man pushed over the edge by his wife. What stood out to me, was the author described how loud gunshots are, which is something that he was told, or experienced, as Hollywood desensitizes people with gunshots that don’t seem to be loud and the never ending magazines. As I read further, police procedure was pretty spot on also, keeping in mind, the infamous “by the book,” is a little different everywhere. The book became too slow for my subjective liking so I finished with a 3.5 rating round up. 4 stars
