SNAFU: The Definitive Guide to History’s Greatest Screwups by Ed Helms was obtained directly from the publisher and I chose to review it. I had heard of Ed Helms and seen him on television and movies many times, I did not know he was a podcaster (though who isn't nowadays), nor a book author (based on his podcast). SNAFU is a history book that doesnt bore the reader to tears. This book tells you about screwups, or are they all, that most history books don't include. Actually, most of these I had never heard before. Ed tells the reader what they need to know, in his opinion, while subjecting the reader to the right amount of humor and sharp-witted commentary throughout. I wish I would have had this book in high school and even college to add to the research papers I have written. If you, or someone you buy gifts for is interested in history they may not have heard before, give this book a read.
