The Last American President, by Richard Engle
The Last American President, by Richard Engle, was received from the publisher in return for an honest review. The book is a hard book to review, maybe that is why there are no other reviews posted as of this writing. The book does tell the tale of the United States of America dissolving, however it is also a love story. I did learn some about politics in general and how the dissolution COULD go down, I also found myself skimming through the book. Oftentimes I found the dialogue to just go on too long. Actually at times it was not dialogue, it was the point of view person describing things that bored me. I do tend to like a lot of action in my books so I tend to not like some books others rave over. This book is interesting (mostly) and I recommend it to anyone interested in politics. It does not sway to the left or right either in its leanings and will make a person think, especially with the state of politics today.
