Dust of the Dead by John Palisano was received direct from the publisher in exchange for this review. The zombie genre is getting worn out. While this is a new take on the genre and I am always willing to read most anything "horror," this book, to me, did not introduce me to anything new. The main character was your normal everyday guy who was written to be too normal at times meaning a coward, and the new zombies are getting smarter. I am not rehashing the plot anymore, one of the other reviewers write a novella about the plot. If you are someone you know likes anything I mentioned about this book, please buy it or gift it. The book is well written and I will continue to read this author, this book particularly did not "grab" me. 3 Stars.
