Man Eater by Harold Schechter

Man Eater by Harold Schechter was received direct from the publisher in exchange for this review. The novel starts out with some gruesome American history no one has ever been taught in school and then goes to tell a tale of gold and silver and Indians/Natgive Americans for the politically correct readers. The novel goes on to tell the story of an epileptic who if you camp with you may not come back, at least in one piece. If you like or want to learn more about America's most well known cannibal, at least since Jeffrey Dahmer, please read this book. Always remember, as some parts of Colorado still remember: "nothin says lovin like someone in your oven.". The novel finishes up with Modern folklore about Alferd Packer.
