Dunkirk, Retreat From the Brink of Destruction by Lt Col. Ewan Butler and Maj J.S. Bradford was received direct from the publisher. While the movie is out, I have not seen it. As a retired Army officer, military history always piques my interest and I had never heard of Dunkirk until I started seeing movie commercials. The authors were part of the British military in France between 1939 - 1945 abd this book was originally published in 1950, with my point being they are writing legit history as they saw the events of the retreat unfold. If you saw the movie, or not, but are interested in what happened at Dunkirk, give this book a read.
