Toby Chalmers Commits Career Suicide by Jeremy Thompson was received direct from the publisher Necro Publications. I had never read anything by this author before, however the title made me interested in reading it. Tobys plight of a struggling horror author struck a lot of familiar chords, with publishers not believing in his work and his having "awesome" book sales on his own. With lines like “I could probably work as a background extra in a Hills Have Eyes sequel with minimal makeup,” you know this book is non politically correct enough for me. As always, I will not go onto the plot here, but it is a plot that has not been played out in other books.
