New York Nico's Guide to NYC by New York Nico was obtained directly from the publisher and I chose to review it. I am not a New York City resident but I have been there several times, with no guidebook or anything, just 'winging" it. As a non-New Yorker, it has been fun to visit the city on occasion and it is always on my bucket list to go back to. This author does an outstanding job of capturing the spirit of New York City and its longtime citizens and pointing out places people should visit in all five boroughs. Speaking of boroughs, he even gives a brief synopsis of each one. I now need to ponder if I need to buy a hardcover edition of this book to use as a coffee table book or to share with my one acquaintance who lives there, to go over the checklist to see if he has heard of most of these places.
